My name is Jammie Thedford, I am in my sixth year of teaching for Van Intermediate School in Van, TX. Home of the Van Vandals! I began teaching in 2012 and started in Special Education teaching an autism class. In 2014 I began teaching second grade and that's where I am today. I am a graduate student in the Educational Technology program at Lamar University and am also enrolled to become an ISTE Certified Educator through TCEA. The past two years, I have presented at our district's Technology PD conference and last year presented at the No Excuses University National Convention at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, TX. I am excited to be apart of our district's technology team and am collaborating with administrators and peers in developing a STEAM bus for our district. I am committed to growing and learning how to engage students and staff through technology.
On a personal note, I have a wonderful husband, Toby of 24 years and we have two children, Jake, 19, and Katie, 16. We have two fur babies, Solomon and Lola. My husband and I are very active in our church. He is the Youth Pastor (in addition to a full time job in IT), so needless to say, we stay busy, but we LOVE it! |
